About Me
Hi! My name is Anastasia.
I am a wise woman, a spiritual guide, a loving mother, and a happy wife. There is one thing that I am passionate about more than anything else in life - Birth.
What makes me so passionate about it?
Birth is amazing!
The true miracle of life, it's such a powerful transformation to experience or be a witness to!
The power of a mother giving birth to her child is incomparable, incredible astonishing, and deeply inspiring.
Birth work is one of the most sacred, impactful, and important services that could be provided in this world. I do believe that the personality, beliefs, and values of the birth worker are important and need to be seriously considered as a factor while choosing the one to be present with you while navigating the powerful and incredible time of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
My journey to birth work started with my first pregnancy and birth.
My oldest daughter was born at home assisted by a midwife. It was the most powerful and transformative event in my life! Nevertheless, it was traumatic. The trauma was caused not by the birth but by the person attending it.
Just one year later I got pregnant again. I instantly knew I wanted something completely different this time. So I chose a wild pregnancy and unassisted birth. What a delightful experience it was! Although I fully trusted my intuition and inner knowledge, I spent a lot of time learning about the physiology of birth and how to navigate it solo.
My unassisted births were perfect. Uneventful. Physiological and undisturbed. I learned so much about birth through this experience.
Inspired by my positive outcomes and constantly dedicating time to ongoing education I started to be there for other women in pregnancy, birth, and motherhood as a doula and a mentor. My spiritual work and research in traditional cultures weaved into my approach. I stand for a balance of knowledge, intuition, traditional midwifery, and evidence-based practices.
I moved to the United States ( Surprise, Arizona) and my youngest daughter was born here, at home with licensed midwives. At that point, I thought this was the way, and 2 years later I stepped into the path of midwifery to become a licensed midwife. I started my apprenticeship at the birth center as a student midwife.
After almost a year of apprenticeship, I had to quit. Day by day it was becoming so clear that it was not the way for me. Medicalization of birth and midwives is a global process, yes, but I don't want to be a part of it.
So, I left the birth center but not my midwifery path. I have been attending births as a doula, learning in midwifery classes and programs and assisting other independent midwives since then and in present.
I am offering my doula and other services in Phoenix Valley. You can learn more about my offerings here

My Birth Philosophy
I am a dedicated birth believer. It means that I believe in birth and trust it fully, I see it as a perfect process designed by nature in thousands and thousands of years of human existence on this planet.
I love birth. I am inspired and charmed by it. I am humbled to witness its power and wisdom.
I believe that every woman who is carrying a child inside of her amazing, wise, and beautiful body has everything she needs to birth this baby into the world.
She doesn't need anything or anyone else!
I see it every time and in every woman, I meet and I respect that. I trust it.
Along with the medical provider and/or a midwife that you've chosen( or not yet or not at all) I find it usually beneficial to also have someone around for additional psychological and physical comfort, spiritual support, reassurance, if needed, and/or even just a pat on the back, a warm word or hug, or the famous and mighty doula hip squeeze.
Someone who knows birth, who trusts it, and also has experience and knowledge, but who has no fear of it. Someone who truly respects the birth space and the woman as the main figure, the main expert in her own well-being and well-being of her baby.
So here I am, offering you my service of being there for you as much as you need me and giving all my respect to your freedom and the sacred space of your birth.
Yes, the life partner is usually already there for you and it's the best person to have around! At the same time, I usually find it more natural and pleasant if a partner can just relax and be there for you for love and affection and cuddles and maybe catching the baby and yes, sometimes important decisions to make together...
But with everything else birth related you can count on me!
I strongly believe in the power of continuous support so I want to be there for you before, during, and after birth so that you feel totally comfortable and safe in my presence and I can support you in the best possible way.
Every woman is different and every birth story is different but they all are beautiful gateways to the life-long journey of motherhood (parenthood).
I am happy and honored to serve you on these precious steps of your path with my heart and my hands ❤️🙏
